Metronomy Announce Fourth Album 'Love Letters'

13 November 2013 | 7:09 pm | Hannah Galvin

English outfit Metronomy have finally announced details of their fourth record 'Love Letters'.

When METRONOMY's The English Riviera dropped in April of 2011, their fanbase grew substantially due to the great weight of fantastic material present on the record. Now two years since its release, we can stop hoping for new music as the outfit have finally announced details of their fourth album Love Letters!

Recorded at Toe Rag Studios in London, Love Letters has been recorded in an analogue format. The intention behind this was not for the album to sound vintage, it was more of a way to pay homage to the quality standards of the past. Imagining their renowned modern pop combined with this way of recording, it's sure to be quite a unique experience for the listener, as the combination appears to be quite a sophisticated experiment.

The delivery of their method can be heard in Love Letters' first single 'I'm Aquarius'. Particularly in the vocals, you can gain an idea of the different recording method as they are delivered in a much more raw and honest way.
