Live Review: WATCH: Metronomy 'I'm Aquarius' (Official Video)

31 December 2013 | 12:01 am | Tom Hutchins

Featuring hairless cats, a mythical princess and Mount in a space suit - Metronomy's new video is as epic as it is visually stunning.

We all know that METRONOMY have a history with creating super interesting/weird film clips (anyone remember 'Thing For You'?) - and after teasing us with the audio, their new single has received a pretty interesting/weird clip.

Coming straight off their brand new LP, entitled Love Letters, which is due out early next year - 'I'm Aquarius' takes the band down a slightly more organic path. As we stated previously:

"Love Letters has been recorded in an analogue format. The intention behind this was not for the album to sound vintage, it was more of a way to pay homage to the quality standards of the past... The delivery of their method can be heard in... ‘I’m Aquarius’. Particularly in the vocals, you can gain an idea of the different recording method as they are delivered in a much more raw and honest way."

The accompanying clip was made in conjunction with The Creators Project (that awesome partnership between Intel and Vice) - and takes the track to inter-terrestrial heights. Directed by award-winning French video director Edouard Salier (Justice), the clip follows lead man, Joseph Mount on a quest through space and time. Featuring hairless cats, a mythical princess and Mount in a space suit all against an incredible outer space background - the video is as epic as it is visually stunning.

Love Letters is due out March 7, via Because Music/Warner
