No Woman – Whitney

I listened to this song upon flying into Los Angeles last month, it felt so fitting as I watched the palm trees rear their heads out of the concrete down below. It reminds me a lot of early The Band and Jackson Browne with that '70s warmth.

Midnight In Peckham - Chaos in the CBD

Ah this song the perfect mix of movement and daze, I see the wiry roads and busy people. The perfect song to accompany a red one and a book in bed after getting home.

Recovery - Rival Consoles

This song scratches an itch for me, the pace it creates just makes me wanna turn my walk home into a run. And that chopped guitar sound feels like a worm crawling through my headphones. I’ve listened to this song on repeat for at least 10 times.

Yellow Raincoats - Frank Wiedemann

I love frank’s stuff with Ame, but mostly i love his remixes of these beautiful folky ballads. This, 'Turn Around' by Sailor & I, and 'Howling' by Ryx are great. I love the journey and the slow burn of this one perfect for the train ride home.

Welcome To The Hell Zone - Bobby Raps & Corbin

Love the pairing of these two voices, and the prose is great. Provocative, soothing, yet somehow peaceful….

Bloodstream – Stateless

A good friend once showed me this a long time ago and I still listen to it to this day. Hard not to picture pushing through the crowds in the station after a long days work.

Green & Gold - Lanterns On The Lake

This story in this is heart wrenching, “you learn fear it just a fleeting thing….you learn love is not a fleeting thing.” The permanence in these words and the revelation is just beautiful. Comforting after a long day.

Strep – Brutalist

I’ve been a big fan of instrumental stuff this year and this song especially. It’s a great closer on a flawless record.
