Lido takes us on a journey through his quaint Norwegian hometown

LIDO, by all definitions, is a powerhouse. His approach to electronic music is subdued, wonky and brave, and has allowed him to dominate the scene with ease. His choice of features on 2016 record Everything alone was clever and allowed the Norwegian producer to further his inevitable conquering of the globe.

But before world domination, Lido grew up in the humble town of Haugesund, Norway. Ahead of his tour of the country with Alison Wonderland's 'Wonderland Scarehouse Project', Lido's taken us through the best kept secrets of his quaint hometown.

"Even though I’ve traveled a lot in my life I have not come across a better chicken tikka masala than the one at this place. Also they do all you can eat lunch buffet’s and that’s really awesome. If I’m not in the mood for Indian food then…"

"This place has the best chicken focaccia bread sandwich in town and a notorious “Everything” burger. Both of these restaurants have the most amazing views, right along the port of Haugesund."

"This is the best coffee in town. Several times they have hosted the Norwegian championship of coffee. They also often have local bands playing on a little stage at open mic nights."

Edda Movie Theater

"This place was walking distance from my high school, me and the boys used to go here all the time, I’ve taken so many girls here on dates. The funny thing about movies in Norway is that even though Norwegian is the native language, movies are in English with Norwegian subtitles. Even though its a fairly small theater they have a fire sound system."

Shabby Records

This is the only record store in the city. This was also walking distance from my high school, so as you can imagine I was there A LOT. Some of the rarest samples I’ve ever found came from here.
