Heaps Gay pull out all the stops for their 2018 Street Party

Heaps Gay

After a massive sold-out party earlier this year, as well as a bunch of others over the past few months, HEAPS GAY has announced they are back at it again in 2018 for a Street Party like no other, partnering with Koori Radio and FBi Radio to close down Garden Street in Marrickville for an entire day of music, art, food, community, diversity, and a bloody good time.

On the tunes side you can expect US rapper Cakes Da Killa, Berlin electro act MEGA O MEGA and well as home-grown heroes Touch Sensative  and Okenyo – not to mention countless more.

Koori Radio will also be curating a second stage home to indigenous world music – featuring performances from Nana Miss Koori and Destiny Haz Arrived thanks to Koori Gras 2018 (Koori Gras is produced by the Moogahlin Performing Arts as part of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras). It doesn’t stop there though as this year, they’re also introducing the  Emerging Artists Program is giving on-the-rise installation artists the chance to create new works to be showcased at the event.

Tickets are to be announced via Moshtix, with booking fees going to Moogahlin Performing Arts, who support emerging Aboriginal artists and provide a safe environment for cross-cultural and interdisciplinary work – so you can party hard knowing you’re supporting a good cause!

Check out all the details below and be sure to grab tix when they’re announced – you won’t want to miss this one!
