SAATSUMA give us their top five party tracks ahead of their East Coast tour

20 December 2017 | 8:20 am | Jackson Langford

The unstoppable force that is SAATSUMA are not bowing out of 2017 quietly. No, absolutely not. Instead, the Melbourne duo are taking their lush, eclectic and immersive debut album, Overflow, on one last 2017 tour in the year's closing days.

Playing a non-stop run of shows in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney before wrapping things up in Newcastle on Christmas Eve, SAATSUMA are partiers with a cause. Every last profit from tickets sold for their Melbourne show are going towards the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre to aid the humanitarian crisis that's going on right now on Manus Island.

To celebrate the tour, SAATSUMA have given us their top five party tracks to get you pumped up for the holiday season and, more importantly, their upcoming tour.

Jennifer Lopez - ‘Get Right’

One of my most prized possessions is the “Lethal Weapon” soundtrack on vinyl, which includes this track amongst a surplus of 00’s rnb hits. I like to drop this towards the end of a dirty set.

Miss Blanks - ‘Clap Clap’

Miss Blanks. Woah. Huge. Listen to her new EP ‘Diary of a Thotaholic’. If it doesn’t make you want to get low and get up at the same time you should prob check yourself.

M-Beat ft. General Levy - ‘Incredible’

For the jungle lover in all of us. A summer anthem imho.

Mary Clarke - ‘Take Me I’m Yours’

Always, and forever. I often cry when I hear this. A true disco gem.

Motor City Drum Ensemble - ‘Raw Cuts 6’

My fav of MCDE’s raw cuts volumes. That detuned house chordal melody that slowly creeps it way in before the 4/4 kick drops is a very magical time for me and hopefully for you and for everyone. SIDE note seeing MCDE play a 3 hour disco set in a pool converted into an underground club in Berlin last year was a life highlight, do I sound like a wanker yet?????
