Let these DJ sets from Sydney selectors warm you up before Electric Gardens Festival

21 January 2019 | 4:54 pm | Rosie Rae

With the long weekend fast approaching, there’s really not better way to transport yourself (at least in spirit) than scoping out some lush mixes for your listening pleasure.

Lucky for you we’ve cherry picked a few of tasty appetisers from some of the local selectors that will be spinning tunes at ELECTRIC GARDENS FESTIVAL. These spritely sets from some of Sydney's veritable taste makers will surely have you longing for the weekend.

SET MO

Off the back of their high energy 2018 ‘Stamina’ tour, we can guarantee safely that this SET MO mix will have you sufficiently warmed up for some long weekend boogie action. A mix of funky house classics, and contemporary Australian dance sounds, SET MO sure know how to ignite a desk dance party. You can catch these guys in action on the Main stage of Electric Gardens at 5pm this Saturday, alongside local angels, ASTA and THANDI PHOENIX.

DJ AMANDA LOUISE

2 hours of effervescent energy, Bondi Radio host AMANDA LOUISE takes us through an eclectic range of classic house, and tech. A mix that is equal parts fun and uplifting. We certainly love funky house mix, particularly when it’s rhythm centric and laced with a bit of gooey nostalgia - it’s a strong yes from us. You’ll want to bring you most comfy dancing shoes for Electric Gardens - cause these lively warm up sets sure beat out the morning run.

TRISTAN CASE

Deep from the forest dance floor of RETURN TO RIO, this mix is a eccentric and idiosyncratic as the man himself. Oozing with energy, this 2 hour set is a true degustation of flavour. Percolating all the primal elements of deep house, there’s no better way to escape than blasted full ball (out loud or in your earphones). Recorded live from the RIO dance floor, you can also catch Tristan Case spinning tunes on BONDI BEACH RADIO. Or you can relive the RIO magic all over in the RIO Hangout this Saturday when he performs B2B with RICKY COOPER.

If you need us we’ll be limbering up for an early start this Saturday at ELECTRIC GARDENS. We’ll meet you front left!
