Live Review: Assembler Code delivers thumping electro on his guest mix

5 February 2019 | 2:16 pm | Caitlin Medcalf

Sydney producer ASSEMBLER CODE is quietly busy. And by that, I mean he is fucking busy. With four huge releases out on London based electro label Cultivated Electronics, seminal Bristol-based electronic label Central Processing Unit, Moscow heavy-hitters Private Persons and arguably one of the most seminal names in techno, Boysnoize Records, as well as a solo EP on Jensen Interceptor's newly minted label International Chrome AND a forthcoming collaborative release with Jensen on Lou Karsh's LKR Records, he's still got more to come too.

His forthcoming release with JensenUpper Function, is set to feature three cuts of raw electro, dripping acid and hectic beats, as well as a stellar remix from Melbourne producer Roza Terenzi.

He's just this week announced that he'll be making the move to the UK in the next few months where his sound and musical interest will be right at home. Some of the best electro in the world right now is coming out of the UK, so it's an apt move at that.

There's still a couple of chances to see Assembler Code do his thing around town before he jets off to the UK, including a set alongside Kate Doherty at Rhapsody's second birthday. Details on that one below! But for now, get stuck into this hard-hitting guest mix he delivered for our radio show on FBi Radio last week.

Teeming with booming electro, the mix kicks off the way it ends - absolutely thumping. Get stuck in below, and be sure to tune into Purple Sneakers on FBi Radio every Saturday night from 5PM-6PM AEDT locally at 94.5FM or DAB+ or on the web at fbiradio.com.
