Live Review: Bajillionaire serves up good vibes only on his guest mix

It's very clear to see that Sydney producer Charlie Hole AKA BAJILLIONAIRE is paving the the way for the next generation of muso's and songwriters. He's an expert at writing pop songs with a purpose, with each release showcasing a new side to him as a musician and songwriter.

He's got a new single out titled 'Sleepwalking' with 17 year old wunderkind BREWER. The track originally started to come together through an earlier session he was doing with Yorke. Charlie would later meet Brewer through mutual friends, and the rest is history.

'Sleepwalking' sees Brewer's powerful vocals sit atop Charlie's careful production, his delicate brand of future-bass going full force on this one.

Of the single, Charlie said:

“On this song I really wanted to say something much more subtle and less in your face than the other things I have done, so when I sat down with Hannah (Brewer), we made a conscious effort to tell a story that wasn’t as clear or as literal as I had done in the past. As a result, this is probably the most honest song I’ve ever written. I don’t want to give away what exactly we have written about, but I will say it is something I have battled with since I was 13 or 14 years old, and I have always wanted to write about, but have never quite been able to find the right way to do it until now.”

To celebrate the new single, Bajillionaire put together a guest mix for us filled with a genre-melting-pot of sounds. We aired the first 20 minutes of Bajillionaire's mix over the weekend on our show on FBi Radio. He's packed an hour of party power in there, kicking off the mix with 'Sleepwalking'.
