Happening in collaboration with Vivid Sydney's Music Accelerate program, Heads Up is a brand new series that's launching in early June. The series of free music events are aimed at giving a curated first-look at some of the stellar up-and-coming music talent this country has to offer.
The series is curated by a panel of industry professionals, headed up by TMRW Music Group's Tim McGee.
“Heads Up is a place of discovery and collaboration between venue and festival bookers, publishers, writers, agents, media, DSPs, A&Rs and tastemakers to throw our support behind the wealth of emerging artists in Australia,” explains McGee. “It will be a great opportunity for fans and the industry alike to see buzzed-about artists performing live.”
The first event of the series is happening on Thursday, June 6 at the newly relaunched The Vanguard in Newtown. It's going to be a multi-genre event with a whole range of artists performing on the night such as Gold Coast rapper Saint Lane, electro-pop artist Doolie, Sydney's Jannah Beth, known for her stellar, uplifting live performance, Melbourne singer/songwriter Charlz, Sydney psych-electronica artist TIMI TEMPLE and non-profit collective Nap Girls.
