LAUNCHING: Girls 'Father, Son, Holy Ghost'

12 September 2011 | 11:39 am | Staff Writer

This week we're launching the new album 'Father, Son, Holy Ghost' from Girls. Thanks heaps to our friends at Inertia.

Last week we feverishly promised to you, our favourite people in the world, that we'd be launching GIRLS' album 'Father, Son, Holy Ghost' this week. And here it is, thanks to our awesome friends at Inertia.

We've already told you that we love it. Actually love doesn't quite describe it. We've listened to it over and over, and every time there's something new to hear and appreciate. Girls have grown and matured since their debut album, titled 'Album'. Where 'Album' was unpredictable in its twisting and turning through a web of genres, 'Father, Son, Holy Ghost' takes a more controlled approach, and its clear that the two years have been instrumental in the development of this amazing band. From opener 'Honey Bunny' to closer 'Jamie Marie', the listener can't help but be entranced by the ebbing and flowing of the genre-ridden lovelorn tunes that come forth.
