Live Review: VIDEO: SBTRKT 'Pharaohs' Feat. Roses Gabor

SBTRKT uses his pseudonym to promote the concept of anonymity and to let his music speak for itself. And speak for itself the music certainly does. If you ever see him, the only way of identifying him would be by the modern interpretations of ceremonial masks that he dons. But let us go back to the music that he wants us to concentrate on.

SBTRKT creates music that could be described as a sort of electro funk, influences from the current electronic and dub-step scene are clear, with hidden influences from old school funk and R&B, combining for an album jam packed with an adventurous set of tunes. The video for 'Pharaohs' which features vocalist Roses Gabor is utterly irresistible and thoroughly addictive.
