Newtown Festival 2011

Everyone loves a good festival; what's not to love about great live music, bountiful booze, amazing market stalls and delicious festival foods (dagwood dog anyone?). The only way to possibly make a festival any better in our books would be to make admission basically FREE and for all funds raised to go to the community. Newtown Festival aims to do exactly this: it's the principle fundraiser for the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre which strives to build “A just community that includes and acts”.

Some of our favourite bands will be hitting the stages, including Georgia Fair, Betty Airs, Slow Down Honey, Ghostwood, Richard Cuthbert and heaps more. As well as the three stages of awesome live music, there will be a huge kids/family area, Writer's Stage, Eco Area (to swap old unwanted clothes), Interactive Workshops, Street Theatre and Art Spaces, and so much more.
