Sub Pop Re-release Nirvana's 'Bleach'

2 December 2011 | 10:30 am | Staff Writer

Sub Pop have decided to re-issue Nirvana's first album 'Bleach' (the one before Nevermind) on non-limited edition, affordable vinyl

Eternally relevant and constantly evolving record company Sub Pop have decided to re-issue Nirvana's first album 'Bleach' (the one before 'Nevermind') on non-limited edition, affordable vinyl: breaking the long running mould of the unscrupulous trying to squeeze every last penny out of the bands' very lucrative catalogue of music. It seems like every Christmas for the last 15 years theres been an 'amazing-new-unreleased' piece of content in a gold box released; ready to take $300 of your hard earned money and send it straight up Courtney Love's nose. Sub Pop say no more.

"Continuing our legacy of reminding people Nirvana had a record before Nevermind, Sub Pop Records presents a non-deluxe, affordably-priced, single-LP version of Bleach, Nirvana’s debut album. Originally released by us in June of 1989, Bleach was widely recognized as a record music retailers should probably order after that one with the naked baby on the cover did so well in 1991. Now we proudly suggest you order this single-LP version of Bleach containing the full remastered album – as found on the Bleach Deluxe Edition 2LP, SP834 – and a pretty printed inner sleeve. We promise it will sell."
