The Purple Sneakers web site is expanding and we’re looking for rad writers with good taste throughout the country to contribute to our website. Purple Sneakers is a well established indie community with a loyal following. We’ve worked with both international acts and local emerging bands and plan on continuing this. Whether you’re an established writer or just reckon you've got better taste than everyone else (we all do), then we defs wanna hear from you!

WHAT WE DO:

- We run a popular indie music / news / culture website where we feature previews, reviews, opinions, videos and a shit ton of new music.

- The web site is read by somewhere between one to fifty thousand people every month.

- We don't try to be everything to everyone, we only get behind shit we like.

- We host weekly club nights in different states which feature both live acts and DJs.

- Over the years we’ve partied with peeps like Grizzly Bear, Vampire Weekend, Kisses, The Soft Pack, Bloc Party, Mark Ronson & shitloads more.

- We present tours for local and international acts.

- And we are constantly on the look out for new music in all areas of what we broadly term 'indie' (yeah we know, pretty broad). If it's good we get behind it.

WHAT YOU DO:

- You love to write words.

- You have your own unique voice and areas of interests that vaguely fall under the 'indie' umbrella.

- You are opinionated.

- You want to gain experience and a name for yourself by being published on a large platform.
