Live Review: Lana Del Rey Bombs on Saturday Night Live

17 January 2012 | 3:22 pm | Staff Writer

Lana Del Rey bombs her US network television debut on NBC's Saturday Night Live, described as one of worst outings in SNL history.

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe introduced a visibly uncomfortable LANA DEL REY, appearing on Saturday Night Live for her US Network Television debut performing internet hits 'Video Games' (19,822,468 Youtube Hits) and 'Blue Jeans' (5,760,778 Youtube Hits). She unfortunately fumbled through both songs; constantly off-pitch and with very awkward stage presence. NBC News anchor Brian Williams was not impressed, he described Lana's performances as "..one of worst outings in SNL history".

It was a massive shame to see live versions of these songs not even coming close to measuring up to the sound of the recorded singles. It's important to remember just how difficult it is to get live sound right on a TV show - who could forget this very off Conan O'Brien performance from New York rappers Das Racist, watch it HERE.
