MusicNSW Funding for All Ages Gigs

9 January 2012 | 12:34 pm | Staff Writer

MusicNSW and Indent have announced $110,000 funding to go towards all ages, drug and alcohol free events throughout NSW.

Everyone knows that music binds people together. Old, young, chubby, skinny, different religions, different races; none of it matters when you're in a crowd of like-minded individuals, all swaying to your favourite tunes. Unfortunately, it's not that easy for the younger music lovers, with many festivals and live gigs being unobtainable to them due to strict licensing laws. INDENT, a project of MusicNSW, aims to provide a strong youth network, and fund all ages, drug and alcohol free events throughout NSW.

Just today, Indent have announced $110,000 of funding to go towards such youth initiatives; giving the younger generations a clean, safe and fun opportunity to get in touch with the creative prosperity of the state.

Indent is also involved in providing assistance to young future entrepreneurs, by teaching them more about the all ages industry. They've recently launched “X Festival: A Do – It – Yourself Guide To Running Music Events”, which commences on March 9.
