Live Review: Goldroom Remixes: Niki & The Dove x Citizens!

My favourite producer at the moment by a country mile, is LA native Josh Legg's side project to his synthpop group Nightwaves - GOLDROOM. Over the six months he's put out remixes for the likes of Poolside, Gigamesh and Pat Lok as well as countless originals, but his adaptations of Niki & The Dove's 'Mother Protect' and Citizens!' new track 'Reptile' are definite stand-outs. 

Legg chooses to categorize himself as 'Dreamwave', which I guess to the rest of us is just another way of saying tight-as-fuck nu disco. As a remixer, he has similar value to the aforementioned Gigamesh or Finnish producer Lenno, although his music is a lot deeper than these two examples. GOLDROOM is yet another reliable artist who never drops the ball when handed an amazingly written song; turning everything he's been given into an incredibly playable club anthem.
