Live Review: Listen: Elisha Bones 'Guts'

ELISHA BONES, a 3 piece band from Canberra - all look like boys you could bring home to mum, but she would probably tell them to get a haircut. The talented men took to the local touring circuit with gusto last year, playing gigs at Phoenix, all the way to supporting acts like Guineafowl at ANU. The following for Elisha Bones is building for a fairly new ensemble, catch them at FRESH PRINCE tonight in support of Olympic Ayres.

The band’s EP is still in the works but they decided to release some demo’s to keep fans happy in the mean time. One demo aptly named ‘Guts’ sounds like a quaint indie anthem that will be sure to take off on Triple J and could propel the humble trio into mainstream. You can already picture yourself lounging underneath the gum trees watching these boys live and thanking the stars for such a beautiful day. Elisha Bones seems to have that effect. They capture an authentic live sound and yet still remain pleasantly delicate through vocals and guitar.
