SANTIGOLD new single, 'Disparate Youth' has been released just in time for the tail end of summer.

Santigold

It’s been four years in the making, but genreless music maven SANTIGOLD has released the first single from her upcoming sophomore album, Master of my Make-Believe – and it was worth the wait. The new single, 'Disparate Youth', comes hot on the heels of another release from the album 'Big Mouth', and just in time for the tail end of summer.

'Disparate Youth' is the antithesis of 'Big Mouth': a liberal dose of chilled out, new-wave sound laid over a street beat, with just a smidgen of reggae influence. The result is an ode to the uncertainty and intrinsic hope of young adulthood – perfect music to numb the pain of buying overpriced textbooks and your O-Week hangover for all you university-goers – that’s sure to leave you keen as beans for the album’s release.

On the off chance that you’re not already moist with anticipation, Master of my Make-Believe will see SANTIGOLD collaborate with a roster of artists sure to bring a tear to your eye, including Major Lazer and Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Nick Zinner.
