Live Review: LISTEN: Kingdom Cloud 'Electric Domain'

Haven't heard such exciting left of centre pop tunes since my first listen to Australians Love of Diagrams a couple of years back, the latest single from Kingdom Cloud (Canada), 'Electric Domain' and debut 7" are definitely a winning combination.

Bands keeping it simple is always what we like to hear at Purple Sneakers; this one features blasting electric guitar dueling with some more melodic solo lines over ultra straight-forward drums and well delivered, soulful vocals. The singer has a couple of moments of real brilliance on 'Electric Domain' - think Clap Your Hands Say Yeah's Alec Ounsworth meets Liam Gallagher. A weird combo but we can't deny that it works! Very much looking forward to hearing more from these guys...
