LIVE: Kittens at Spectrum ft. Purple Sneakers DJs

We can’t believe it’s taken us this long to write about Sydney club night Kittens. It’s Sydney’s indie party hood at Spectrum on Oxford St, where you can scope live bands and knees up til late with DJs playing indie, like White Rabbits, The Cure, Silver Arrows and The Rapture ‘til your heart’s content.

Better yet, on Saturday April 28, PURPLE SNEAKERS DJS will be making an extra-special appearance. Oh yes, the boys have gone AWOL recently focussing on producing upcoming singles (more on that soon), which is pretty dire for us indie fans - this rare sighting should whet your appetites for what should hopefully become a more frequent occurrence.

Yes, the lovely men and women of Kittens twisted their arms - apparently threatening to expose a pretty risque photo of them.. (We kinda hope they’ll release it anyway…)

The Sydney bands supporting include The Bright Young Things, Ginger & Drum and Louis London. And Kittens are going into overdrive for this event; they’ve got an extra room, and Bundy 5 bringing in a 3D hologram booth. Just think about the mischief you can wreak with that.

Entry is only $10. Head in any time after 8 to get your indie party-faces on. We might just see you there (no, we’ll definitely see you there, we’re all going).
