Canadian duo Purity Ring have announced the release of their debut album 'Shrine' on July 20, combining the intimacy of R&B with dark electro

Canada's PURITY RING have announced their debut album, Shrine, due for release on July 20. From the first release of the album 'Obedear', Shrine sounds like anything but a debut, with Megan James' vocals soaring over  the delicate beats and vocal samples formed by Corin Roddick.

With influences from 90s R&B, dream pop, and hip-hop, Purity Ring have a created a unique sound; it's intimate, yet public -- you could easily hear them at a club or listen to them at home in the dark.

Combining the sophistication of indie with the flawless production of mainstream pop, Shrine will set the future of electro-pop.
