Live Review: TOURING: Band of Skulls + The Laurels and The Love Junkies

Alternative rock trio BAND OF SKULLS have left the land of our colonial forefathers to bust out some craziness on our Aussie shores. For the past few years, they’ve been hitting the road in true rock star style.

Playing festivals, gigs and support shows across the UK and venturing to places such as South Africa where they took the stage at the Rocking The Daisies festival in 2010.

You may know Band of Skulls from such songs as ‘I Know What I Am’ featured in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock or perhaps their Triple J Like A Version cover of Goldfrapp's ‘Strict Machine’ rings a bell? Their single ‘Friends’ also featured on The Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack…but don’t worry we won’t hold that against them.

They will be hitting up the Splendour in the Grass Festival, Spin Off Festival in Adelaide and their own sideshows in Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. Homegrown outfits THE LAURELS (Melbourne & Sydney only) and THE LOVE JUNKIES (Perth only) will be supporting and have already been making names for themselves as awesome live acts.
