We must admit we're a little late getting around to properly listening, A Different Ship by Here We Go Magic. But it's an awesome listen.

We must admit we're a little late getting around to properly listening to HERE WE GO MAGIC's third album, A Different Ship. But we're here to make sure you don't miss out on what is an awesome listen.

You have probably already seen us babble on about how the album was produced by Radiohead engineer and ‘Sixth member’ Nigel Godrich, but we really think that's a pretty big feat. And it's Godrich's work that really shines across the entire album, allowing the New York group the space and production value to push forth a more matured record.

It's the eccentric and wild nature of HWGM that fans have come to adore, encapsulated within a polished and incredibly clean recording process. In the past the band has seemed like a group of musicians who had no idea who they wanted to be, but after listening through the airy and blissful LP, it is clear that the band have finally come to terms with their pop sensibilities. There are distinct elements of Folk, Rock and Jungle that fly around the mix, but it is clear that the album is one filled with quirky and original pop gems.

WIN WIN WIN

The band are on the massive Splendour in the Grass bill, but before you check them out, we thought you should have a copy of the album on us to familiarise yourself. Thanks to Inertia, we have 3 copies of Here We Go Magic's, A Different Ship to give away.

All you have to do to get your hands on one is answer the following question in the comments section below - along with your City and Email Address: If you had a Magic power, what would it be?
