Live Review: LISTEN: Dum Dum Girls 'Lord Knows'

Our favourite all-girl noise pop band, DUM DUM GIRLS, have a new single for us fans. It has us excited for a new release.

Featuring sweet harmonies and brooding lyrics, 'Lord Knows' is four-minutes of slow mourning. She doesn't want to hurt her boy anymore. But Dee Dee ala Kristen Gundred could never hurt her grateful fans. The song shows off all the band's attitude and their new direction. Sombre unlike their earlier releases, with easy melodies and a pounding drum beat, the track is the perfect combination of melancholy and a whole load of talent.

We've watched these girls develop. The band who took their name from Iggy Pop's 'Dum Dum Boys' and The Vaselines' Dum Dum, Gundred's brain child has put all-girl bands back onto the indie map. Exploring past love, the single is a tantalising taste of what's to come.
