Live Review: LISTEN: Elizabeth Rose 'Again' (Feat Sinden)

Australia is a pretty isolated country when it comes to music. Yeah, New Zealand is here, but we steal all their creations as our own anyway. So for a local artist to get recognition overseas, it is always viewed as a massive achievement.

Well it seems that Sydney starlet ELIZABETH ROSE has gone one step further. Not only has she gotten herself some serious attention overseas through her blissful debut single, ‘Ready’ - she has also managed to score a collaboration with one of the world’s biggest dance producers. Yes, that’s right, British disco master SINDEN, has come on board to help bring Rose’s latest single, ‘Again’, to an astonishing new level.

It’s another hauntingly beautiful vocal effort by the 21 year old, with her angelic harmonies creating an incredibly strong focal point for the track. Add in Sinden at the production helms and you get yourself some beat heavy accompanying music, with some equally dream like synth lines and key work. Overall it’s another reason why you should be keeping a close eye on this girl, because now more than ever, she is looking like becoming one of our biggest pop exports.

This continues what has already been a whirlwind 12 or so months for this incredibly young talent, as she headed out on a debut headline tour, as well as gaining support slots for Snakadaktal, RUFUS and Chairlift. Plus she has just completed an official remix with the latter – keep an eye out for a video collaboration between Rose and Chairlift in the near future.

‘Again’ is out today via Inertia and Elizabeth Rose is about to hit the road in support of the single and her forthcoming EP (due out in October) - beginning with a stop in at our Canberra Party, NITE SOCIETY, this Saturday. The dates and relevant info are below.
