Live Review: PREMIERE: The Griswolds 'Heart Of A Lion' (Purple Sneakers DJs Remix)

We’re pretty sure you’ve heard of THE GRISWOLDS by now, right? Well you definitely should have, as these Sydney guys have been kicking some major goals as of late.

Their uniquely tropical and summery pop tunes have been on repeat in our offices frequently and it seems we’re not the only ones who love them. The band has just been announced as the Triple J Unearthed Winners for the Sydney leg of this year’s massive Parklife festival. And this comes on the back of their latest single, ‘Heart Of A Lion’ being smashed on national rotation by Triple J. Overall, they’re doing pretty well for themselves at the moment.

Now it seems that The Griswolds have ended up in a sticky situation with our own PURPLE SNEAKERS DJS, which in our eyes is always a good thing. Just in time for Parklife, their aforementioned lead single was stolen by those genre-hopping kings of the unconventional remix and given the royal treatment by our favourite/reckless production duo. The result – well, we’re just going to go with PSDJs own words, “Lionstep”.

‘Heart Of A Lion’ is stripped down and torn apart before being rebuilt as a bass heavy banger, filled with plenty of the infections vibes we know and love both of these acts for. So yeah, basically it’s as lionstep as you’re going to get.

And since both crews are incredibly nice, they’re offering this remix up as a FREE download for all their fans. So if you want to get your grubby little hands on it, head to BANDCAMP.
