2MANYDJs To Play One-Off Show In Melbourne

29 October 2012 | 1:52 pm | Tom Hutchins

We come with a solution for the lack of 2ManyDJs in your life – if you live in Melbourne that is. Yes, that’s right, the guys will be in town very soon.

Do you like to Dance? Well if you do (we assume that everyone does), there is a massive chance that you already love, know or at least have had a dance to something that has been created by the legendary Belgian DJ duo, 2MANYDJs. But what you may not have had the chance to do; is see them in the flesh.

We come with a solution for the lack of 2ManyDJs in your life – if you live in Melbourne that is. Yes, that’s right, Belgian Rock/Electronic act, Soulwax, will be bringing their mash up project to the most liveable city in the world for an exclusive and intimate show on 2nd December at Red Bennie's.

Although perhaps intimate isn’t the right word, as we are expecting some serious mayhem from the masters of the mash-up. They really leave no music stone unturned as their sets have been known to take in everything from Michael Jackson to Guns N Roses to some of the dance world’s biggest and most unique tracks. And to make this show even more special, we’ve been informed that tickets will be strictly limited to 300 for the night. It’s an intimate and comfortable experience, something that has never been experienced before at an 2ManyDJs show in Melbourne, considering the last time these guys were in the country they packed out the Prince Bandroom twice over.

Just in case you’re a little lost as to what we’re talking about, 2ManyDJs are (apart from being chairman of the Belgian Carpenters Association (Stephen) and having a black belt in tae kwon do (David) ) the best at blending the finest products of music history together into a catchy, hilarious and truly intriguing groove exploration. The guys behind the insanely popular Radio Soulwax mixtapes, compilations and Cover Art projects, have been known to play with everything from politically incorrect Prog-Rock to lame 90’s R&B, from trendy Trip-Hop to banging German Techno. If it’s something you can dance to, you better believe that the Dewaele brothers have it in their record collection.

2ManyDJs prove that ‘Genre’ has never been such a naff word. And we highly recommend that you don’t miss one of the only opportunities you’ll ever have to catch these guys in a small scale setting. And if you need further encouragement, check out their full set from last year’s Reading Festival – we’ll have it on repeat all afternoon.
