You may not have heard her name as of yet, but we have a pretty solid inkling you'll be hearing the name, Kristina Miltiadou a lot over the next 12 months.

You may not have heard her name as of yet, but we have a pretty solid inkling you'll be hearing it a lot over the next 12 months. Oh right, we should probably tell you her name... It's KRISTINA MILTIADOU. Try saying that 5 times in a row fast with a mouthful of chips.

Melbourne born and bred, Miltiadou is a singer songwriter with a difference. She isn't that person you see on the streets playing two chords on an acoustic guitar and hoping youtube will help them become the next Beibz (although she has been known to wildly busk). Her music transcends genres and oozes raw talent, especially when the only way we can describe the sound is 'brass-backed acoustic jams and tropically infused electronica'.

After so many local shows, cover projects, house parties and EP's Kristina has finally hit the big time and is on the brink of releasing her debut LP. The Self-Titled album is due out Feb 8th and is one that we'll probably have on repeat till at least Feb 8th of 2014. Seemingly following a gospel like procession, the tracks deal with the issues of life, loss and love all rapped up in super tight melodies and beautiful harmonies.

With production wiz, Francois Tetaz (Gotye, Architecture In Helsinki) at the helms - the album is Pop music for the masses as well as being quirky enough to grab the attention of the most introverted music lover around.

And if you can't even wait till Friday to hear this baby in full, make sure you check out the albums two lead singles - 'Carousel' and 'Heartstrings'. We've even chucked them in below for you.

Kristina Miltiadou is out Feb 8 through etcetc.
