Live Review: LISTEN: Cat Power Feat. Angel Haze 'Manhattan' (Ryan Hemsworth Remix)
A collab between CAT POWER and ANGEL HAZE was definitely unexpected, however with the help of RYAN HEMSWORTH the girls knocked it out of the ball park.
Everybody loves a beautiful songstress. Whether she can wail the extremely high notes like MARIAH CAREY, or rock in front of a band like HAYLEY WILLIAMS, nothing beats a girl who loves to sing. CAT POWER is one girl that no one can seem to get enough of.
CHAN MARSHALL's beautiful voice echoes in your head whether your listening to her music or not - she is someone who just sticks. Her track ‘Cherokee’ was one that people couldn’t get enough of, and of course it didn’t stop there. The hype still continues and ANGEL HAZE decided that CAT POWER was definitely worth a crack.
ANGEL HAZE is one of the best up-and-coming rappers with her sassy verses, she will slap you in the face using her voice rather than her hands. A collaboration between CAT POWER and ANGEL HAZE was definitely unexpected, however the girls released their track ‘Manhattan’ and completely knocked it out of the ball park.

RYAN HEMSWORTH has taken the Girl Power sassed track and added a drum beat and synth that flow smoothly through the track, making it suave and sexy. The original sounds more pop than hip-hop, but HEMSWORTH has injected a sweet dose of the latter.
The samples used throughout create a track that is calm, but still slightly uneasy. Listen to it and feel the grooves because that’s what this track is good for.
