Released on trusty Sup Pop Records, ‘A Tattered Line Of String’ mixes your typical lovely line of lyrics that we have come to love from THE POSTAL SERVICE

Over the course of many years, there has been one musician that has let his heart out, Ben Gibbard first stood out with his emotions being sung along to a series of acoustic guitars in his band DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE, soon after he was doing the same in THE POSTAL SERVICE.

After forming in 2001 and releasing a series of soft, calming tracks that are perfect for those nights spent with a bottle of wine, mulling over everything in life, THE POSTAL SERVICE have embarked on their first tour since 2003, released the deluxe 10th anniversary edition of their album Give Up, and on that re-release, included a new track called ‘A Tattered Line Of String’.

Released with a video of an orange vinyl being played, ‘A Tattered Line Of String’ is a very upbeat track with an energetic beat. Synthesizers are a plenty in this new track which has Gibbard’s light vocals flying over the modern synths. ‘A Tattered Line Of String’ is a track that has taken a different direction and shown a new side of THE POSTAL SERVICE that some probably never thought existed. As the vinyl turns and changes from a light pink to black, blue and every other colour you can think of, you can’t help but bounce to the new electronic element of THE POSTAL SERVICE  that seems to come out of this new track.

Released on the trusty Sup Pop Records label, ‘A Tattered Line Of String’ mixes your typical lovely line of lyrics that we have come to love from THE POSTAL SERVICE, with a more electronic track which, when listed to again, also has a bit of a dance element. This is a track you can dance to, and shows that THE POSTAL SERVICE can still churn out some magical tracks, even if they aren’t what we’ve come to expect.
