ANNOUNCEMENT: Mad Decent Block Party 2013
Some things just have to be enjoyed and Philadelphia label MAD DECENT have just announced something that could become one of these can’t-pass-up moments
There are some things someone should just not pass up. Like a drink with your favourite band, or even a free feed from your favourite sushi place because your new friend has offered to pay for it.
Some things just have to be enjoyed and Philadelphia label MAD DECENT have just announced something that could become one of these can’t-pass-up moments. The label run by Wesley Pentz, aka DIPLO or half of MAJOR LAZER, has just released a few posters and a quick YouTube clip to tease fans about their new Block Party for 2013.
MAD DECENT has held annual Block Parties in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and most recently Toronto, for its fans giving them free access to the best new music coming out of the label. In 2011 over 40, 000 people attended the block parties across North America and the 2012 festivities were more than awesome with performances by MAJOR LAZER, ZEDS DEAD, EROL ALEKAN, RIFF RAFF and FLOSSTRODAMUS.

The line-up for this year’s festival is still in the works, but no doubt audiences will be blown away like always.
The teaser video is pretty quirky with a taco putting up the MAD DECENT poster teasing fans about the new block party, and a can of soda, and a pizza getting turned on by a good looking ice cream cone that walks past. The mascots for the party are pretty awesome, and the party is even better so keep an eye out for more details as the line-up and dates are announced via MAD DECENT’s Facebook Page.
