Live Review: LISTEN: World's End Press 'To Send Our Love' + Tour Dates

WORLD'S END PRESS had been pretty quiet until the release of a brand new track last month, but they've actually been keeping extremely busy. And it looks like they'll be ever busier in the near future...

Since the end of last year, the band have co-headlined a tour with Collarbones, supported international stars Hot Chip and Bloc Party on their Australian tours, performed at Falls Festival and even played a set in front of tens of thousands of people on the steps of Flinders St Station for White Night.

They now have a brand new track out (again!) and this time, it's official. It's the first single from their much anticipated forthcoming new album!! Everyone can stop holding their breath now, it's all locked in. The first (confirmed) taste of the new LP, comes in the form of 'To Send Our Love'. It's a very 80's influenced track, with John Parkinson's vocals definitely ringing true of a time when disco was up the top of the pops. With a solid garage twang in the instrumentals, it offers a hint of The Cure before ripping into a brilliant dance beat.

And with the release of 'To Send Our Love', World's End Press have announced their own headline tour with shows in Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne, along with a three week residency at Sydney’s Brighton Up Bar.

These local headline shows will provide fans with the opportunity to hear the band showcasing tracks from their debut album – due for release later this year. And if the rest are like this beauty, we're going to be listening to something very very special come the end of the year.

As mentioned previously, along with the rest of the band’s new material, 'To Send Our Love' was recorded in the UK with revered producer Tim Goldsworthy (DFA Records). We have high hopes that this was an incredibly fruitful creative collaboration, but it looks like we'll just have to hold our breath that little bit longer to find out.
