Ernest Greene, who you may know a bit better as WASHED OUT, has his new album Paracosm coming out early next month and with the mini-documentary that the act has created in cahoots with The Creators Project being released only a short time ago, we can only expect more big things from the Georgia-based producer.

WASHED OUT's music is something you just can't move away from as its calm qualities serve almost as a method of therapy with it's cool melodies and flowing instrumental charms.

Paracosm is full of WASHED OUT's therapeutic sounds and to prove it we now have a new single, with an accompanying video. The single is entitled 'Don't Give Up' and you honestly can't get a smoother track than this. Light synths just float above a beat that hosts a small tribal edge and with Greene's own vocals flowing through 'Don't Give Up' like a soft echo, the track just puts you in the mood for relaxing next to a warm fire and just forgetting about the world around you. In saying that, the music video that was released with 'Don't Give Up' actually emphasises the world around us, funny eh?

'Don't Give Up' was filmed at the London Zoo by designer Moross who has had many successful projects of late. The images in the video show various animals in the most vibrant colours, empahisising their beauty and general mystery that just comes with the animal kingdom. Fish switch from a fluro green to a deep purple and the zebra has a slightly blue colouring as the black and white stripes of his coat flash across the screen.

Paracosm is to be released on August 9 and if you're more interested in the music of WASHED OUT, then take a gander at the mini-documentary as well, because you will definitely learn a lot and plus, it's only part one.
