Live Review: LISTEN: The Ancients 'Molokai'

If you haven't become acquainted with THE ANCIENTS just yet, let me introduce you to your next psych-pop love affair. The Melbourne group have been creating sweet melodies for a few years together and just released their new single 'Molokai' in the wake of their third studio release Night Bus.

Night Bus is to be the first release that THE ANCIENTS have thrown out into the world with Chapter Music and features emotional twinges that pull at the heartstrings and soothe the soul as Night Bus plays through.

'Molokai' is a very relaxed single and is the first single to be taken from Night Bus for us all to enjoy, distorted guitars and laid-back synths galore, 'Molokai' is like a twilight journey rolled into a fantastic five-minute tune. The eerie intro puts you into a dream state that seems to carry on throughout the entire track, as those late sixties vibes ooze out of it's core.

THE ANCIENTS third album follows their unique releases The Ancients and The Ancients 2, and will be released via Chapter Music on October 18 and there is news of more tracks and videos to be released in the next few months so keep your eyes peeled for some more of THE ANCIENTS popping up on your radar.
