Live Review: SOUNDCLOUD WRAP: Canyons

6 August 2013 | 3:16 pm | Lauren Payne

We got Canyons to pick their favourite Soundcloud tracks which includes a track from their alter egos Pink Gin.

CANYONS are one of the best live acts going around these days and honestly, we couldn't love them any more than we already do. With their talent for creating such exciting dance tracks, the boys light up any stage they perform on and just make us all dance until our legs drop off. They recently devised an EP under the new name PINK GIN.

Now the band have assured us that CANYONS won't be going anywhere for the moment, but PINK GIN is a project that features some original demos that just didn't see the light of day until now and they are very, very good demos.

PINK GIN will be launching their EP at the Spice cellar this Friday, August 9, so we decided this would be the perfect time to ask the boys of PINK GIN/CANYONS to show us some tracks they've been digging recently via Soundcloud.

PINK GIN 'Blame Me'

"Some bboyfunkdancefloorpunkdeeprhythmupallnight mood by yours truly."

JAN SHULTE  'It's Really You' (Edit)

"Non Collective doing it right as always. I cant imagine anyone not feeling good after listening to this slice of positivity."

BELL TOWERS 'Tonight I'm Flying'

"Heard this tune from the early demo stages to what it is now, which is always satisfying. A very creative and unique individual in BELL TOWERS. Excellent and vital contributor."

ANDRAS FOX 'Soft Illusion'

"Super tasteful and effortless moods created here by Australian ANDRAS FOX here. Out on M.Ozone's Homeloan Records."

CANYONS 'Money' (Edit)

"One of those rare times when something productive comes from being jet-lagged. Cheeky edit to fun up the mood of a dancefloor."

CRAIG BRATLEY 'Obsession'

"Heavy remix of an already killer tune. The original came out on Andrew Weathrall's label Bird Scarer a couple of months ago."

THE ASPHODELLS 'A Love From Outer Space'

"Great cover of A.R Kane's 'A Love From Outer Space' by The Asphodells."

MIKE DUNN MEETS VICTOR SIMONELLI 'Nothing Stays The Same' (Marc Romboy's Devilfish Mix)

"Some heavy acid."

PHARAOHS 'Manhunter'

"Nice slow burn."

ANSATZ 'People Mover'

"Hot jam by JTC that came out a few months back."
