Live Review: WATCH: 'Goldroom Coasting' Mini Documentary + 'Embrace' (Cyclist Remix)
Goldroom has released a mini-documentary detailing his career in music thus far titled 'Goldroom Coasting'.
Premiered on Black Book, LA producer GOLDROOM has released a mini-documentary, titled Goldroom Coasting, that features the artist discussing his career path and the endless gratitude that has come with it.
Also known as Josh Legg, the artist highlights a few significant topics relating back to his musicianship. Legg speaks of his love for LA, and how it's shaped him into the musician that he has come to be; expressing that his moniker is an ode to the "gold room" that is his hometown.
From this, he goes on to address this in terms of his environment, as it has impacted greatly on Goldroom. His interests and comfort zones feed off each other, as he feels that his love and invested time in simply being on the water is quite possibly why his music emits such a tropical sound.
This personal element of the documentary transforms itself into a more extroverted figure, as the artist discusses his belief on music working as a social unit due to its capacity and accessibility of bringing people together. He used his live band as an example of this, having met them solely through musical projects.

Scoping the touring side of things, it's nice to see Goldroom's honesty when he notes how cool it is to revisit the same venues and towns whilst being on the road, only this time he's performing with a live band rather than DJing. Little snippets like this and many other moments in the documentary manifest upon viewing the short feature, alerting you that Goldroom is a really nice dude who loves doing what he does.
Through the coloured filters over the temptutous LA shots, Goldroom Coasting has been shot just as warm and sweetly as the music that the musician writes, which is celebrated throughout as certain tunes from his Embrace EP chant in the background.
Goldroom Coasting is truly a sweet insight for any Goldroom fan.
