“The digital age has changed how we listen to our favourite songs and interact with music. While online music services have made it easier to access your music, it's remained a challenge to have an anytime, anywhere listening experience that can be shared with others."

This was said by Rory Dooley, Senior Vice President of Ultimate Ears and he's right. So what have Ultimate Ears done? They've made listening to our favourite music even better by creating a neat little invention called the UE BOOM.

The Ultimate Ears Boom is a nifty little speaker that you can literally take anywhere. Its cylindrical shape makes it easy to slip into your pocket, bag, or wherever else you want to keep it, plus it's water and stain resistant so you don't have to worry about it short circuiting if you spill something on it at a picnic.

Instead of just sitting down with your headphones in, the device lets you not only play your music for everyone to hear, you can also connect it with your friends Ultimate Ears Boom using a smartphone app that's available for iPhone and Android. This means you can pretty much connect your speakers and play both yours, and your friends music either as one mix, or as two separate playlists.

Luckily it's battery operated too, with up to 15 hours of life. That's a fair bit of music time before the little machine decides to have a rest.

Ultimate Ears Boom will be available from the usual electronic retailers, Dick SmithJB-Hi FiHarvey NormanMyerThe Good Guys and Apple stores for f $199.95. But we have some good news for you all.
