Live Review: WATCH: Flight Facilities 'Stand Still' ft. Micky Green (Official Video)

28 November 2013 | 10:52 pm | Lauren Payne

Flight Facilities have a new music clip out that has a bit of a plot twist at the end.

It was only last week that FLIGHT FACILITIES dropped their new single 'Stand Still' on us all. It's a pretty sweet track with the vocals of Parisian singer Micky Green cooling over the sunniest little whistling tune and of course we then started whistling it all ourselves as the week went on.

Now you should all be ready to fall in love with 'Stand Still' again because there is now a cute new clip to accompany the cute track. If you thought 'Stand Still' was a chirpy effort, then you'll love the chirpy little film clip.

I know I keep mentioning how happy FLIGHT FACILITIES' new track makes me feel, but you can't blame me can you? Take a look at the clip for 'Stand Still' below and tell me you don't instantly love it. The whole music clip is centerd around a young boy who is living in suburbia.

Of course the boy is adorable and he becomes even more so when he is asked to clean the garage and instead goes through all the interesting stuff he seems to find. There's googles, ye olde Rubiks Cube, and of course a whole bunch of old records and cassette tapes. You'd think the boy would end up listening to the old tapes and records but no, instead he bowls over his old teddy bear, dinosaurs toys and plastic soldiers with them as if they were bowling pins.

The best find in the whole garage through has got to be the interactive game that is of course called Flight Facilities. The thing looks like something we should be playing in about 90 years or so and it's just great that this little kid finds a game like this collecting dust in his garage. Soon all recollection about why the boy was in the garage is gone and he is off enjoying the sunny day around his quiet neighbourhood. Or so it would seem.

The clip is visually stunning and it shows how well the music videos of today are produced. They only run for three minute on average, but each music clip can have a narrative and transport you into worlds that make you think a whole different way. FLIGHT FACILITIES have always been one of our favourite acts and the music video for 'Stand still' is just another thing to add to their awesome list of work.
