Live Review: LISTEN: Chordashian 'Keep On'

9 December 2013 | 2:26 pm | Tom Hutchins

We suggest that you should 'keep on' coming back to Chordashian - as they've something pretty good here.

Here's a name we think you'll be hearing a fair bit in 2014, they're called CHORDASHIAN, and they are one hell of a disco making machine.

To get the formalities out of the way early, Chordashian are a couple of dudes called Michael Banks and Felix Feygin based in Brooklyn. They are creating some wild space dance tunes and it seems that their new cut, 'Keep On' is no exception to this.

Even though they've been booting around the scene for a couple of years now, 'Keep On' is full of all the ingredients to take the duo to the next level. The track seems fairly retrospective in terms of instrumentation; when you fuse strong key-work with solid percussive elements and use that as the template for the rest of the track - you can't go wrong.

With some distorted, yet soulful vocal samples thrown into the mix, as well as silky smooth synth lines and driven bass rhythms backing it all - the result is a disco track for the 2013 electronic scene.

We strongly suggest you 'Keep On' coming back to Chordashian - as they've developed something pretty outstanding here.
