James Blake Drops New Track '40455'

James Blake has previewed a new track during his BBC Radio 1 residency.

JAMES BLAKE definitely has a knack for the mystical music that gives you a sense of space, we've heard it on his great tracks like 'Retrograde' and we love it. Of course with the news that the singer has recently moved in with CHANCE THE RAPPER to work on new material, things may change for JAMES BLAKE and his soft image.

But of course it takes time to work on new material, so we can still revel in JAMES BLAKE's mystical aura, especially now that he's released a brand new track. Shown to the world during his BBC Radio 1 residency, BLAKE played a new track that he has put together called '40455', a soft and light track that is just everything we've come to expect from the singer.

The whole offering just takes you through this wonderful feeling of ease that infuses jazz with bright synths and an organic atmosphere.

The interesting thing about this particular recording is that at the end you have JAMES BLAKE asking the opinion of the other BBC Radio 1 workers what they thought of his track and soon, they all come to the discussion that the track does sound slightly depressing. In my honest opinion, I fin '40455' quite soothing, however it's all up to you how you feel about the track. But I'm sure we can all agree that JAMES BLAKE is a wonderful musician.
