The Bowler Bar ft. Detroit Swindle Double Pass Giveaway

20 February 2014 | 10:20 am | Hannah Galvin

Brisbane pals, head over to The Bowler Bar this Saturday night to catch international duo Detroit Swindle!

With Skream’s almost sold out show happening this Friday, Brisbane’s BOWLER BAR thought they’d go the extra mile as they’ve also booked DETROIT SWINDLE to play the following night!

Only nine months into making a serious attempt with their original production work, a friend of Detroit Swindle believed in what they were creating to the extent of sending their material to Huxley’s label Saints & Sonnets. With a thumbs up from the receiving end, the duo have kept it up ever since, unveiling loads of music and touring as an international act.

Made up of Lars Dales and Maarten Smeets, the lads have released a handful of EPs and singles both digitally and physically through a range of reputable labels (ie Tsuba, Dirt Crew, Club Mod and Gruuv) and have even established their own imprint on Heist Records.

Since releasing their Huh, What? EP at the close of January, Detroit Swindle have announced the release of their debut album, Boxed Out, that is set to drop in March of this year via Dirt Crew Records. In the meantime, the part-Detroit-part-Holland-based production duo are touring beautiful cities across the world with their tunes until July this year. Currently on their Australian leg, they’re sure to be a pretty good time at The Bowler this Friday.

Catch the boys play this Saturday, 22nd February for a  mere $15. Grab your tickets before it’s too late HERE!
