Live Review: FREE DOWNLOAD: Pilerats Records Compilation Volume #1
After a long wait, Pilerats Records have finally released their first compilation mix that features 12 amazing tracks.
The team over at Pilerats are probably the busiest people you will ever meet. As well as running a very successful digital magazine, launching Circo Music Festival and throwing countless awesome parties at some of our favourite clubs around the country, Pilerats have recently begun their very own record label.
Signing great acts such as SABLE to their small label already, Pilerats Records are now well underway and last night the boys from Perth did something quite awesome, they decided to release their very first compilation tape.
#1 is the very first compilation from Pilerats Records and it features some of the very best producers that Australia and the world have to offer. Instead of just announcing the track list outright, the team decided to instead release a cryptic crossword where people had to discover who would be featured on #1 on their own, but that was only one interesting development.
The second was that there was no initial release date of the compilation. There were only whispers across the interwebs about the compilation and then all of a sudden there it was.

So the first Pilerats compilation is definitely a doozy. It features a variety of unreleased tracks from ODEZA, RYAN HEMSWORTH, YOUNG FRANCO, LEON OSBOURN, RENZ, SABLE and a variety of other producers. If you needed a new party soundtrack then you definitely have one now, with 12 perfectly upbeat dance tracks that all have their own slice of unique funk.
