Live Review: Freddie Gibbs & Madlib 'Deeper' (Official Video)

'Deeper' from the collaborative album between Indiana rapper FREDDIE GIBBS and producer MADLIB titled 'Pinata' has been recently treated with some accompanying imagery. The track was first released as a single last year, and is now being bought back to the forefront with the Jonah Schwartz produced film clip.

The focus of the clip is ultimately quite simplistic, following the ins and outs of a relationship and its struggles. Throw in  drug pick-ups, weapons, a stint in prison and some other guy and you've got yourself a FREDDIE GIBBS x MADLIB worthy film clip. The story follows GIBBS  as he acts out the ups and downs of a relationship tainted by prison time.

The cinematic styling of the video gives it a sharpness that acts as a differing point between many other rap videos that play out life on the streets. The clip feels its way through emotions like reflection, regret and anger, conveying the emotions portrayed lyrically within the track 'Deeper'.
