Live Review: Client Liaison ‘Free Of Fear’ (Amtrac Remix)

US producer Amtrac recently got his hands on Client Liaison's electronic gem 'Free Of Fear' and flipped it to make it his own.

If you haven’t listened to CLIENT LIAISON before now you wouldn’t know that the Melbourne synth-pop duo encompasses all of the glitch and the clamour the 90’s had to offer in terms of music and its production.

However, they constantly take it to the next level with their accessible beats, head-heavy hooks and their cleverly fitting vocals. Their track titled ‘Free of Fear’ encompasses all of these, and meshes together to create a tune that’s doused in pop, and reemerges the other side as a crisp, smooth dance track that sends out blasts of RnB.

US producer AMTRAC has recently got his hands on this electronic gem, and flipped it to make it his own.

Comparatively speaking, both tracks make a focus of the saxophone line that takes the melody in the second half. The smooth, sultry nature of the instrument creates the mood, and it is actually the style of the beats and synths that differentiate the two. AMTRAC has creatively implemented a colour scheme made up of crisp, golden hi-hat hits, the deep greys and silvers of the warped bass line and the explosive yellows and oranges of the ‘just right’ vocal line.

AMTRAC’s take on CLIENT LIAISON is nothing short of a success, and is definitely one to take you further into the night.
