Live Review: Leon Osborn ‘Vale Of Kashmir’

DIE HIGH RECORDS resident and absolutely killer solo producer LEON OSBORN from Fremantle, WA has taken on quite the challenge. Every Tuesday in July, he’s taking to SoundCloud and making available (for free) the latest instalment of his interestingly formed project titled 'Nature Strip'.

Musical credibility aside (I mean, the guy’s played a boiler room set alongside TA-KU), he’s become rather affluent in this gorgeous blend of synths with a dominantly percussive soundscape. It’s the little knicks and knacks within the track that make up the beauty of it.

The project’s second installment titled ‘Vale Of Kashmir’ showcases the ambiguous side of dance music. Opening with an almost distorted array of sounds that are reminiscent of raindrops on huge warehouse roofs, the conglomerate sounds assemble to drop to a stunning beat.

Quite a project for a producer to undertake, and certainly not an easy one at that, he’s already dropped a track before ‘Vale Of Kashmir’, and is still set to release a few more.

LEON OSBORN is out to prove that he’s an artist that no only means business, but is also one with a shitful of artistic prowess and creative integrity. Definitely one to look out for.
