Live Review: Cut Copy 'Meet Me In A House Of Love' (TJANI Remix)

CUT COPY  can only really be described as bright, colourful electronic wizards. With Free Your Mind's Deluxe Edition adding in a series of remixes to the already fantastic line up of tracks, the album that we thought couldn't get any better, did. 

We have yet another new remix to share of 'Meet Me In A House Of Love', again proving that this Free Your Mind isn't done wowing us with it's track listing just yet.

The new remix is by New York-based producer TJANI and he has turned 'Meet Me In A House Of Love' into a disco-fuelled treat for us all. TJANI has recently been signed to independent label Feed Me and has a whole lot of talent to show off. His music has a clever structure and as he mixes disco samples with deep house synths, he creates textured soundscapes that really merge perfectly with CUT COPY's work.

TJANI's remix of 'Meet Me In A House Of Love' has a very sweet build of tangy samples before dropping into it's strong leading elements. A riff of hollow house synths pops across the track in a tame manner before transforming back into the tangy samples as Dan Whitford's vocals enter the mix. As the track switches between warm disco to deep house we see different sides of 'Meet Me In A House Of Love' converge in a more specific way revealing the defining traits of each section or genre.

TJANI's remix presents a whole new side  to CUT COPY's music and whilst it still embodies the original life of 'Meet Me In A House Of Love' in it's warmer sections, it also takes the track into a different territory and lets it find its way into a new forrest of synths and samples.
