Live Review: PREMIERE: Kito & Reija Lee 'Turn Into You' (Big Dope P & Mighty Mark Remix)

Australian-raised and now London-based duo KITO & REIJA LEE came to light with their first collaborative effort, 'LFO', pricking up the ears of listeners and none the less some big names in the dance music scene down the track, with SKREAM and DIPLO to cite a couple.

Though several years have passed since the singer/producer act made their debut, the pair continue to impress and deliver their iressistible concoction of diverse musicality with a knack for melodious beats.

Their most recent record to date, the EP II was released in June of this year and featured singles 'Word$' and 'Starting Line'.

Now, another track taken from II  has received a musical overhaul under the guidance of BIG DOPE P and MIGHTY MARK, with their remix of 'Turn Into You'.

KITO & REIJA LEE's original thrives off its sleek, sexy and laid-back groove amidst the sparse elements that come into play. With BIG DOPE P and MIGHTY MARK's touch, however, the track's dance-trait is turned up to 'frentic', as stuttering synths set the pace right from the get go, with a brewing bass beneath the vocal samples.

Artillery like swiftness is evident in its production whilst booming hits are a major addition to the reworking. Short rap bursts are also scattered throughout, before indulging the listener with a full verse later on. It's a whole new world in comparison to its origins, but BIG DOPE P and MIGHTY MARK sure aren't pulling back any punches with this hard-hitting track.
