Musica Copa Charity Football Tournament Announced
Ever wanted to see your favourite musos sweating it out on the football field? Well Musica Copa are giving you that chance – again! Last year Fraser’s Park turned into a musical battleground, with artists and industry figureheads going head to head all in the name of charity – with Musica Copa raising funds for the likes of Beyond Blue, Headspace and St Vincent’s De Paul.
After the event’s successful run last year, Musica Copa is back and bigger than ever. Partnering with Electronic Music Conference, 16 teams representing Australian music’s biggest and brightest will be hoping to score in a football tournament that we will see the top three winners take home a 12,000 dollars cash prize to their charity of choice.
Dance label, Sweat It Out were the victorious winners of last year’s event, but they’ll be met with plenty of competition to hold their crown with Elefant Traks x Umbrella, FBi Radio, Future Classic, inthemix, Ministry Of Sound x Mustard Music, Mushroom Group, OneLove and Pulse Radio + new summer signings Audiopaxx, Falcona, Maker Agency (who will be playing alongside Sweat It Out), MTV, Red Bull Music Academy, Sony, UNDR ctrl and Universal, all playing for title.
Music stars set to ignite the field include Bag Raiders, Motez, Touch Sensitive, Kilter, Emoh Instead (What So Not), Just A Gent, Basenji, Yahtzel, Yolanda Be Cool, L D R U, Olympic Ayres, Van She, Hayden James, JAWZ, Crooked Colours, Motorik Vibe Council, The Herd, Nicky Night Time, Joyride, Jackie Onassis and Alex Burnett.
This year, Musica Copa are giving two fans the chance to rub shoulders with industry big wigs, with behind the scenes, VIP tickets up for grabs by registering on the Music Copa website.
Musica Copa will take place on Friday December the 5th at Marrickville’s KIKOFF Fraser Park from 3pm to 10pm. Entry will be by donation.
